Industrial Roller Shutter with Curved Profile

The industrial roller shutter with a curved profile is ideal for demanding industrial
operating conditions. It consists of galvanized steel sheets, interconnected in an
interlocking pattern. They are installed in openings reaching up to 12 meters in
width, while the shutter itself can reach heights of up to 12 meters. The sheet
thickness is proportionate to the shutter width (0.8mm or 1mm), and the profile has
a development of 11.2cm with a substantial curvature in width. The convex side faces
outward and the concave side faces the interior of the opening, making it strong for
large spans and high wind pressures. In addition to the profile’s curvature, there are
three special ribs running along one side for greater strength.

The shutters are wound on a reinforced galvanized shaft and rotate on industrialgrade spring boxes with PVC bearings for noise minimization or on a TUBE rotating on
bearings, depending on the shutter dimensions. The sheets have special parallel corrugations for extra strength, while every other profile strip
has special plastic end caps at both ends, which prevent lateral displacement of the
profile and act as gliders within the shutter’s side guides (channels). This eliminates the need for greasing the guides. A special anti-burglary bottom sheet with a
thickness of 1.5 mm is installed at the bottom of the shutter for additional security
and profile reinforcement. The option to install a safety bar for protection in cases of
high wind pressure is also provided.

The shutters move within industrial channels, 7 cm deep, with special double rubber
seals (inside and outside) that glide and seal. Additionally, a special soft elastic
bottom seal profile (bubble) is installed at the bottom, which compensates for any
ground irregularities and acts as a cushion compressed by the shutter’s weight for
better operation and sealing. The shaft can be ⌀60 or ⌀76, depending on the shutter
dimensions. Furthermore, the hangers (brackets) supporting the shaft are adjustable,
manufactured by KATEE, as are all other small components (handles, end stops,
hooks, etc.). Also, all shutter components are galvanized. The steel undergoes special
pre-treatment (degreasing and phosphating), and then the shutters are
electrostatically painted in special ovens with polyester paint of any color upon
customer request. On the curved roller shutter, perforations (honeycomb pattern) can be made upon
customer request, providing light and ventilation to the space.

The shutters operate manually with locks or with an electric mechanism which is
quiet, of high EU specifications, with an electric brake and manual operation in case
of a power outage
