Fire-Resistant Steel Sheet Roller
Shutter ΕI 60
The BLOCKSHUTTER EI 60 fire-rated roller shutter is a system that guarantees
integrity and thermal insulation tested for 60 minutes
The curtain consists of galvanized steel slats, with a height of 110 mm, a thickness of
50 mm, and a weight of 38 kg/m². The slats are well interlocked and secured at the
ends with steel plates to prevent slippage of the curtain (wind load resistance) and to
ensure smooth descent.
The slats are filled with a high-performance silicate material that guarantees, after
one hour of exposure to fire according to the fire test procedure referenced in EN
1634-1, a detected average temperature not exceeding 140°C on the unexposed side,
resulting in a class T5 rating according to CEI 31-35.
The head support consists of two sturdy steel brackets into which the shaft is
inserted, onto which the roller shutter winds. A pressure tube is installed on the
inner side of the curtain, while on the outer side there is an additional profile with
intumescent seals to seal and hold back flames. The head covering box is not
included.
The side guides, made from galvanized steel, have dimensions of 133 x 116 mm and
must be installed 80 mm from the edge of the clear opening width (applies to a
shutter width of 6.00 m).
Automation is provided by a single-phase 230V motor or a 400V three-phase motor –
IP54, with a Gravity Fail Safe system that guarantees satisfactory controlled speed,
even in case of a power failure.
An audiovisual warning device is provided in accordance with the mandatory
standard EN 12604.
An integrated keypad with up/down/stop control is supplied.
The steel sheet fire-rated roller shutter EI has certified wind load resistance Class 2
according to EN 13241-1.
Fire safety shutters are not suitable for frequent use.
