Fire-Rated Roller Shutter
KATEE’s Fire Safety Roller Shutters are manufactured in accordance with international
fire safety specifications and are custom-built to order based on the client’s specific
measurements.
The curtain of the shutter, with a 3-hour (180 min) fire resistance rating, is
constructed from galvanized steel sheets with a curved cross-section, featuring
double ribbing for rigidity, a development of 80mm, and a thickness of 0.8mm.
The bottom lath of the roller consists of a metal plate with horizontal and vertical
slits.
The shutter’s winding shaft is a TUBO (steel tube), made of steel, and rests on
supporting hangers and heavy-duty bearings.
The supporting hangers and the shutter guides are also constructed from galvanized
steel.
The shutter is equipped with a galvanized steel cover casing on three sides.
The shutter’s operation is achieved with an electric motor (single-phase or threephase) and a push-button. The motor transmits motion via a chain, and there is also
the possibility of manual operation using a chain in case of a power outage.
Optionally, it can be connected to an alarm or fire detection system.
In case of fire, the fire-rated shutter descends either mechanically via a fusible link,
or via an electrical command (push-button) from the fire detection system.
The maximum dimensions they can cover are up to width X height: 9m X 6m or 7m X
8m.
Fire safety shutters are not suitable for frequent use.
The E 180 shutters are compliant with fire resistance standards and have been tested
and certified by the accredited UKAS testing laboratory in accordance with the test
method STN EN 1634-1/AC:2007. According to the E180-CO/EW 15-C0-class
resistance tests, our products protect at an integrity level of 181 minutes (3 hours)
and are certified by the National Accreditation System of Greece (Ε.ΣΥ.Δ.).
