At KATEE, for four decades now, we have been continuously evolving, keeping pace with technology and investing in state-of-the-art machinery that ensures top-quality results.
The latest advancement in our production line is the new machinery for manufacturing roller shutter profiles, channels, and bottom frames, which completely upgrades the production process of sheet metal roller shutters. Yet another step proving that growth for us is not merely an option, but an integral part of our philosophy.
From innovation to experience: a story of evolution
Our journey in roller shutter profiles is synonymous with continuous development and engineering precision.
We were the first in Greece to add reinforcing ribs to the sheet metal profile, radically changing the strength and stability of roller shutters.
In our original design in the early 1980s, the sheet metal profile featured 4 ribs. Over the years, and through our collaboration with the best machinery manufacturers, experience and expertise led us to a new decision: to reinforce our profiles with additional ribs: the flat profile now features 5 ribs and the curved profile 3.
The result?

- Enhanced wind load resistance
- Improved aesthetics and symmetry
- Increased roller shutter service life
The curved profile, which we use for our industrial roller shutters, with the convex side facing outward and the concave side inward, offers impressive stability even in large openings or strong winds. An innovation that makes all the difference.
