They are manufactured from sheet metal or pre-painted aluminium alloy 3003-H44, with polyurethane foam of 80kg/m³ density, injected and polymerized automatically in our production line, ensuring consistent quality in every slat. The slat development width is 115mm and the polyurethane thickness is 2cm, achieving excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.
Specifically for insulated aluminium roller shutters, corrosion resistance is of particular importance. KATEE insulated aluminium roller shutters offer greater resistance to weather conditions compared to standard galvanized sheet metal, even if electrostatically painted. This means they can withstand much longer exposure to sea air, humidity, and rain, maintaining their stability and aesthetics for many years, even in coastal areas.
The strength offered by the insulated roller shutter is enhanced with galvanised shafts Ø60 and Ø76, which rotate on heavy-duty bearings for quiet operation and stability even in large openings. At the same time, the roller shutter drives feature special double seals and glides that slide and seal, improving the rolling of the slats, while in cases where required, we install a safety bar that protects against strong wind pressure.
Special attention is given to the bottom frame, the last slat of the roller shutter, which is reinforced and features a PVC profile with a double bubble seal. This design ensures sealing even when the floor surface is not perfectly level. This prevents moisture ingress and maintains a stable internal temperature.
